bloodtaker 71 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 In google chrome when I watch a movie through the web interface the bottom bar does not disappear. In firefox and IE it does. See green arrow in image below. That is the bar that stays up for the entire movie in chrome only. Other browsers are fine. Is there a way to fix this that you are aware of?
ab123ga 14 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I use chrome and it goes away for me. Takes about 3-5 seconds of no mouse or keyboard movement but goes away here.
bloodtaker 71 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) Very odd as I use Chrome and it stays up the entire time no matter how long i leave the keyboard and mouse idle. I am using Version 35.0.1916.114 m of Chrome. Edited June 10, 2014 by bloodtaker
bloodtaker 71 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Never mind I fixed this myself by turning developer mode off in Chrome's Extensions settings. This can be marked as fixed and closed if needed. Sorry for the trouble. 1
Luke 42078 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Actually that was good info to find out because I didn't know that was the reason why some report that. Thanks for investigating.
bloodtaker 71 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Not a problem. I was half asleep when it came to me to check the extensions i run in chrome. Unchecked all of them and was still getting it then seen the developer plugin tested that and bam works like a champ now. Then tested with the other plugins and so far no problems. Now I can stick with chrome instead of sudo chrome Firefox.
bloodtaker 71 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Ok that did not work sorry. I was on the computer that host MBS. When I jumped onto my gaming computer the problem still persist. I tried the fix that I stated and did not work on that computer. I am wondering if it might actually be a hardware issue. 2 Different brand cpu's , mobo's and 2 different gpu setup. Server --- Windows 7 Ult. 64 bit, Amd Phenom II 910e quad @ 2.6 ghz , 8 GB ram, 7770 gpu, FoxConn Mobo. Gaming Rig --- Server Windows 7 Ult. 64 bit , Intel i7 3770k @ 5.0 ghz , 32 GB ram, Dual 6970 gpus, Gigabyte Mobo. Both are up to date on windows updates. The way the systems are setup are basically the same except for the hardware. That is my last thought that it could be. My Chrome is setup to link between the 2 as well as in I change settings on 1 the other gets changed.
ebr 16184 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 We've seen touchpad or other pointing device drivers have a similar effect with the hover overlays. Maybe it is something like that...
