My network just went down for some reason. Turned the router off and back on, seemed to fix it but Emby didn't come back. So I manually killed Emby and started it up again but all I get is the above message.

Hi, did you try again shortly?

I tried refreshing a few times before posting here. Posted seven minutes ago and it's still not working, so it's been at least 10-15 minutes total.

Can you try rebooting your machine?

Not at present, no. I'm in the middle of encoding a video file.

It also seems that right clicking on the tray icon and selecting 'Exit' only kills embytray.exe. EmbyServer.exe keeps running and has to be killed from the task manager.

Tried killing it and restarting the server again and I'm still getting the same error.

Exiting the tray icon will kill both, so yes, looks like something was stuck. I would reboot the machine. Was emby doing the encoding, or some other software?

The encoding I'm doing is completely unrelated to Emby.

But is it using up all the system resources?

Was able to watch for about an hour just fine. It wasn't until the network went down briefly that there were any issues with Emby.

Rebooting did solve the issue, and I was able to continue both the encoding work and watching emby with no issue.

Thanks for the feedback.

This just recurred.

I went to edit images for a movie. Initially I could load the page that shows the currently assigned images, but couldn't search for images, I just got the spinning circle. After a few attempts it also stopped loading the current images. Then refused to load the movie page at all. So I killed Emby and figured I'd manually update while I was at it, as I was still on 4.4.0.19 and it'd be quicker to manually install 4.4.0.25 than to restart over and over again. But it wouldn't let me rename the system folder because even though I'd killed Emby, embyserver.exe was still running. Killed that, did the update, and then got the "Emby Server is loading. Please try again shortly." message. I'm unable to kill Emby via the system tray, that only kills the tray app. I've tried rolling back and forth between .25 and .19 in an attempt to avoid rebooting the machine, but no dice. It just won't load.

I see this all the time if I launch a browser to soon after starting Emby.  Usually do to my script changing the <VacuumDatabaseOnStartup> switch and refreshing the page after awhile loads.

Probably need to see the server log.

If it just happened when I loaded too quickly that'd be fine, the problem is once I get that error the only way to get rid of it is to completely reboot my entire machine.
