arrbee99 1817 Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Was just wondering, is there an elegant way to tell Emby not to automatically update its database as I add media. Was adding some media earlier, and as it was being copied to a folder monitored by Emby, Emby was extracting chapter images and adding metadata and the usual stuff. Usually this is good, but I got the impression it was slowing down the writing of media significantly so am wondering can I temporarily tell Emby not to monitor a certain folder while I'm adding to it, preferably without having to delete the folder from the library and then re-adding it.
darkassassin07 652 Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 I think your best bet for this atm would to be to edit the library and turn off 'enable realtime monitoring' while adding lots of media. Tbh you could just leave it off and trigger scans manually when you know your adding things. Automatic scans are more usefull when you have media being added to libraries automatically. 1

arrbee99 1817 Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 I disabled real-time monitoring (I think) but its still doing it.
