Stuck subtitles of Fire TV (multiple) - Works fine on ATV

Recently ripped my Spies Like Us DVD and watched via Emby Server (running on Mac).

 

When watching on Fire TV there are a few seconds of subtitles around 30 mins into the movie and they get stuck, so for the rest of the movie you have the subtitle showing from the previous scene.

 

ATV works fine - subtitle disappears as expected.

 

I have tried multiple fire TVs.

 

Anything I can do?

What version of Android is the Fire running?

 

What type of subtitles are they?

Fire OS 6.2.6.5 and the English burnt in subtitles.

You mean they're already burned into the video?

I could be using the wrong term - I have seen it called Forced Only as well, essentially it will only display subtitles in an english show when it has foreign language spoken.

 

Sorry if I don't have the correct terms.

I have no idea - I don't have any separate subtitle file - its just an MP4 file.

 

I think it looks like it only works on ATV - I tried VLC and have the same results.

 

Appreciate the help.. I think I am going to try and copy again with different software.
