Can't watch while recording is in progress

Hi,

 

I've just got a HDHomeRun and intitially planned to get it running with plex but after hours of trying with plex i gave up and gave Emby a try and was instantly better. I've almost got it setup perfectly but my only issue is i can't watch programs while a recording is in progress. The Circles just spin and the timeline number just keeps going up and up but nothing actually plays.

 

Is there something i need to enable to get this working?
