robjbw 28 Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 So, under Emby option for Backdrops, I have only selected 1 backdrop to download (NOT MULTIPLE). Now, when i'm at a movie 'Edit images" section there is 1 backdrop downloaded and showing there. Now, if i search for a new one, it will download a new one that i selected but it won't replace my previous one that was there. It will just add a new one. Cause of this, it will create a new folder in my drive called something like "Extra Art". Why doesn't it replaces my previous backdrop when I only have 1 backdrop selected to download? For Emby not to create this "Extra Art" folder in my drive, I have to first delete my previous backdrop then search and download a new one. Too many steps. And on top of that, i have to go into that movie in my drive and delete that folder. Why doesn't the new backdrop just replace my previous backdrop when In settings I have only 1 backdrop set? Or put an option in Emby or a pop when downloading stating if I like to add or replace the previous backdrop. Thanks!
ebr 16185 Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 Hi. The setting you are referring to is for the automatic metadata downloader. It should not apply to anything you do manually. Now, it is possible we could offer the option to replace a specific backdrop but, until then, I would suggest just deleting the current one before downloading the new one. Thanks.
Luke 42080 Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 Correct. You might only configure it to automatically download one backdrop, but on a per show basis you can choose to manually download more if you wish.
