mcasey6747 1 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 So long story short my mac mini 2011 keeps ejecting the external drives. I currently run everything through my mac. However, due to this issue I'd like to move the actual media to a Raspberry Pi that has a 1gb hardwired connection to the mac. What format do I use for the hard drives? It looks like there aren't any serious issues upon a few googles. Any advice on this? Appreciate it.
JaScoMa 34 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Debian based systems like Dietpi or raspian should be able to mount mac os file systems, at least in a read only mode minimal. I don't run anything Mac so I can't assist you further. 1
mcasey6747 1 Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 Dumb question. Which needs write access the Mac where I download the stuff from? Or the rpi which has the externals attached? It'd have to be the raspberry right?
mcasey6747 1 Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 To put the file on the external drive. So to break it down. I use nzb on the Mac would download to the rpi and then use the macos to run emby transcode etc headless to the clients. Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 So then the mac would need write access to the rpi drives.
