Multi Version Movies

Ok, I have tried this for the first time. Here is the folder structure:

/MultiMedia/Movies/War

  /Saving Private Ryan (1998)

    /Saving Private Ryan (1998) - 1080p.mkv

    /Saving Private Ryan (1998) - 4k.mkv

I believe this matches the wiki. What I see in the browser is 2 movies, each of which have 2 versions. I see the same thing in IOS.

Is the grouping simply not implemented on those clients? Or am I missing a setting somewhere?

Aha, so, a missing piece of info. I am using the Folder view. I use this view as I organize the movies by what I call them, not what metadata calls them. So, in the folder view, when I pick War (as shown in the above structure), it shows 2 Saving Private Ryan movies, no folder.

It may not work in the folder view. I would compare to the regular movies view.

It doesn't, and it works fine in other views like Genre. But shouldn't it work, or could be made to work, in folder view too?

I am confused as I used the same folder structure you listed above with a movie library pointing to movies folder.  And in Folder View I click War and get one Saving Private Ryan (1998) folder and when I enter that I get the group multi-version details view.

Only test in web client.

Okay sorry my test was on the beta 4.3.0.12.  I see this does not work on 4.2.1.0.

So we can say yes it will work in the next release.

I believe we worked this out in another topic specific to Mixed Content libraries.
