LxB 2 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I purchased this app successfully on my Shield TV 2017 using the unlock button, but when I go back to the app the Unlock button is still there, clicking on it does nothing. The only problem I can think of is, apparently the payment went through twice and I got a refund for one of them. Could it be possible that may have caused an anomaly ? How do I get it to work ? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, that has no effect. I can verify the PIN using Emby Connect, which lets me login successfully, if that matters.
LxB 2 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 Hi! Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, there is a "Restore Purchase" button, clicking on it had no effect. I just launched the app, the Unlock Button has been replaced "Emby Premiere" button. Clicking on it takes me to a screen "Upgrade to Emby Premiere" with a "SIGN ME UP FOR $8.49/MONTH" button. How do I know the app has been unlocked ? I do not see anything that makes it obvious.

That tells me it is unlocked. Playback should work and you should not have a trial message of any sort is how you would know. Thanks.
LxB 2 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 The "Trial has expired" message appears once in a while, will take a while for me to figure that out! I think an Unlocked icon or "App Unlocked" text in the settings screen would be helpful. If the "Trial has expired" a[[ears in the next hours or days, I will come back and report it here.
ebr 16184 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 ... or "App Unlocked" text in the settings screen would be helpful. What does the version number of the app say in the settings page now?
LxB 2 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 Ah! I see what you are pointing at. It says "Version: 1.7.43g Registered". So, "Registered" means it is unlocked, right ?
LxB 2 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 One more thing - before unlocking my playlists would only allow me to play 250 randomly selected songs even though I have 9000+ songs! I thought it was the limitation by the trial mode of the app. It still only allows 250! How do I get it to allow all the songs in the playlist ?
ebr 16184 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Hi. If you are shuffling, then it is pulling from all of your songs. The next version will pull 500 at a time. Thanks.
LxB 2 Posted October 9, 2019 Author Posted October 9, 2019 Ah! I see what you are pointing at. It says "Version: 1.7.43g Registered". So, "Registered" means it is unlocked, right ? Should I assume that is correct then ? Limitation of 250 per playlist is a joke! I have other players that can shuffle all of my collection. Even 500 would be a serious limitation! Is there a reason why they did it that way ? I'm tempted to ask for a refund, I don't know how to proceed.
Luke 42078 Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Hi, we'll remove this limitation. Thanks for the feedback.

As I noted above, when you shuffle, it is shuffling from the entire list of items you asked to shuffle. It is only limiting the number of items that actually get loaded in the playlist - not the number of items from which are selected. 500 songs would give you 25 hours of continuous playback. Is that not enough?

ebr 16184 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Not for me. Why would you think someone would want to limit their options? Because we have to strike a balance for performance and 25 hours of continuous music at one time seemed very reasonable. 1
