bige_dad1 0 Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 I have a movie that I own 2 versions of, theatrical release(TR) and extended release(ER). I know how to make these types of movies show under the same icon in the DB list, and have done so with many other movies I own. The issue I am having with this one is that the ER comes on two disks. I figured out how to get the two disks to show up as the same movie in the list. I have also followed the steps that have worked in the past for getting the 2 movie versions(TR &ER) to show up under the same icon and it is not working. Is this a limitation of the program or am I just not doing it correctly? What I am doing with the names C:\movies\ Moviename (YYYY)\ Moviename (YYYY) [theatrical release].mp4 Moviename (YYYY)part1 [extended release].mp4 Moviename (YYYY)part2 [extended release].mp4
Happy2Play 9789 Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 My guess would be that naming scheme, since file stacking I don't believe is covered in multi-versioning. C:\movies\ Moviename (YYYY)\ Moviename (YYYY) - [theatrical release].mp4 Moviename (YYYY) - part1 [extended release].mp4 Moviename (YYYY) - part2 [extended release].mp4
Happy2Play 9789 Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 @@Happy2Play have you tried this scenario? I could not get that specific scenario to work or any other scenario I tried that invalved File Stacking and multiversion. So you would have manually group them or not use a File stacking scheme, so you have 3 choosable items.. Moviename (YYYY)\ Moviename (YYYY) - [theatrical release].mp4 Moviename (YYYY) - [extended release] p1.mp4 Moviename (YYYY) - [extended release] p2.mp4
Luke 42093 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Ok @@bige_dad1, right now I'm afraid this is just a tricky scenario that up until now we just haven't looked at. For the best experience possible I would suggest joining the part 1 and part 2 files. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
