STR8 74 Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 In horizontal tv mode (home screen) my favorite movies are generated and they show in the Favorites box for regular 1080p and 3D movies but not for 4K movies it's blank no content.
Luke 42077 Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Hi, what do you mean? Can you show a screenshot example? thanks.
STR8 74 Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 (edited) Hey Luke sorry for the late reply but here are the images you asked for... you can see that the 4K Movies is highlighted and so is the favorites box but nothing shows. Then you can see the favorites show for the movies. All work just not the 4K for whatever reason. Edited October 7, 2019 by STR8
Luke 42077 Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Have you marked any of your 4k movies as favorites?
STR8 74 Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 Luke I have selected favorites for my 4k movies but they just won't show up like the others... I know this is not a emergency I can live with it until a fix is done I was just wondering if it was something I missed or did wrong.

Have you tried loading v 1.0.68 yet to fix the other problem you're having? Just wondering if this may still be a problem because I've got 4K movies in my favorites. Unless I'm doing something wrong or different. I know I don't have the CA plugin
STR8 74 Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 The app for the Samsung smart tv I personally love it... love the new look (view) how you have the movies, favorites and collections tabs (boxes) at your fingertips and I like how when you hit collections for let's say 3D movies it only brings up those that have 3D movies included which makes the number of the collections drop example 100 overall movie collections to 40 3D collections when you select collections in the 3D tab. I only would say it would be awesome if the same layout cout be like movies, 3D, 4K and tv show libraries would show the same for home movies, photos and stand up libraries... maybe it's my folder structure but I will play around with that to see if it changes but I have them set up the same main folders then sub folders.
STR8 74 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 Also I don't watch movies from my desktop if that is what your were referring to @@Luke was roku's and xbox one but will be switching up to the smart tv app
FrostByte 5392 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I think what he is saying is do you see the same problem with the web client and are 4K movies missing from favorites there also? If you have a Roku or Xbox is the problem of missing 4K movies from favorites still a problem? Or is this problem only with the Samsung app?
STR8 74 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 Yes correct favorites are working for xbox one and roku's I did a restart of the emby server and the 4K favorites actually popped up so they are now showing on the Samsung app. But I will still look into the usb beta install thanks for all the support and help. 1

Unfortunately, you will have to repeat the process of taking your TV off the wall every month to update to the newest USB release. Otherwise stick with the store version which as you see can be several versions behind. Unless you can hang it so you have access to the USB ports or try running a USB extension out and see if that works. Edited October 8, 2019 by FrostByte
