Is there a special way to scan a Library that i'm not aware of?

certain songs I add to my music library. show up but if I try to play them it says "

Playback Error

No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details.

What could cause this? the file works fine if i play it directly on my server. but anywhere else I get this error. any advise would help.

What format is the music in?  I know there are topics like this for "flac" containing improper id3 tags.

It is a FLAC file. as is most of my music.

But I fixed it i believe...

I think this was the issue

I moved the files from the C drive to my D Drive (D drive is my server drive). when I said "the file works fine if i play it directly on my server" I was playing from my C Drive like a bimbo. A moment ago I attempted to play a song that was not working directly from the D Drive it said " File Corrupted" so some how in the transfer from my C drive to D drive the file became corrupted.

I transfer the file again and now it is working fine

Thanks for the reply
