Cannot add an email address to users so they can use Emby Connect

I cannot add email addresses to new users so they can use Emby Connect. if i try adding the email address while creating the new user, the creation will fail. i can add new users if i dont add an email address while creating it. then if i try an add an email address after the user is created, i get an error. i have attached a screenshot of the error

 

Emby Version 4.2.1.0

running in a docker on OpenMediaVault 4.0

Ok, the email address that you attempted to add, has that person signed up for Emby Connect?

ok... they have to sign up for emby connect first? i wasn't aware of that... my bad. i thought i could just set them up and add the email address and it would send an email to the user inviting them to the server and have them setup emby connect

I have exactly the same problem. When I try to add the email to the user profile I've got this error:

Of course, the user has an Emby connect account using the mail that I try to insert. 

I read here about the same problem: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/121581-error-adding-emby-connect-email/ and to avoid a network issue, I connected my server to another network, but I has the same error. I sent a message tu support yesterday, but no answer. I attach the logs file, could you please check?

Ok, I've got an answer from support. I will come back here with the solution as soon as I will have it.

To not take up too much time, I had several problems with the server because I did a recovery using the recovery plugin.

1. The actors' photos were not displayed. See here my posts:

The problem has been solved and I know now what to do next time, but there are the following two that were solved only with a fresh installation of Emby.

2. I was no longer able to delete my users. See here:

3. I was no longer able to add the connect email for new users (actual post). 

Note that all these three problems no longer appeared as soon as I reinstalled the server (new server) without using the restoration plugin.
I would like to thank the moderators as well as the Emby support contacted by email, however, based on my experience, I do not recommend restoring the server using the plugin.
