Harblar 29 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Hey all! I'm in the process of converting my DVD rips (video_ts folders) to MKV files. In doing so the easiest way I've found is to convert the folder, delete the entire movie folder, and then copy the new folder and rip back to the server. After this I just let MB Server repopulate the metadata... pretty easy. The problem is that now all the DVD rips show as MPEG in the cover art plugin. Is there anyway I could select all the dvd's at once and change the 'Treat Image As' on all of them to DVD in one shot? Would save a TON of time if it's possible, since (between movies and tv episodes) I'm looking at well over 1000+ entries that need to be changed. If this can't currently be done, I'd like to make a formal Feature Request for MB Server! Thanks!
ebr 16184 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Bulk editing is a planned feature but it is down the list in priority. I believe there are tools that would allow you to mass-edit the xml directly, however (use at your own risk). Pretty sure I've seen some mentioned out here somewhere.
Solution ebr 16184 Posted June 6, 2014 Solution Posted June 6, 2014 Or - if you really don't care about the MPEG cover - you could use the mapping feature in CoverArt to tell all MPEG items to use the DVD cover. 1

Glad to hear it's planned, eventually! This might be a good option since my media consists of only 3 formats... DVD, HD-DVD, and Bluray. If it comes up as MPEG, it is DVD and nothing else. Thanks! I'll give this a try and see what happens!
