Favorites not displaying heart overlay anymore?

You need to physically move over the item to see it is a favorite or not.

Are these little red hearts for favorite not shown on the items during grid view anymore?

Watched status is. Watched status has both a control element and shows in the green circle on the poster.

Presently you have to physically hover over the item to see the way to favorite/unfavorite and change watched status and more... Sure those work great. But there is no favorite heart shown on the poster for Adventure Time unless I hover on it. Why not? Seeing if it is a favorite or not independently of changing that favorite status needs to be there too. Other apps show the little heart independently of the control for favorite status changes.

@@Luke is this an oversight? :)

Showing the favorite hearts on the posters while showing a favorite view of course would be overkill. I am not asking for that. I just want favorite hearts shown directly on posters as the green circle watched status are when in various views that aren't filtered to strictly favorites. Is that possible?

Yes by design.

So when on the TV grid. It is intentional I cannot tell my favorite shows from the others by the little heart on the poster?

So in order to know I have already got Adventure Time as a favorite you must hover over them now? Why? Those are supposed to be intuitive. Save the user having to make motions and mouse clicks to see these. Now it is forcing me to move around and do more work to expose them. That is the intent?

We have filters and we have dedicated favorites menus.

We have filters and we have dedicated favorites menus.

So the answer is yes. We make users do more work on the web app?

Why show the green circles then? Can't those be shown on hover too those counts? You see where I am going... :)

All I am saying is if the item is favorite keep the heart lit up regardless of hover or not. Then on hover that same menu shows with heart in the same place to now unclick. Why show the green circle always and not the favorite heart. It is the same contextual clue.

The favorite hearts should be permanent on the poster like the green circle. So all views can show that fact. The only difference when filtering to a view of favorites it should not have the heart glow all the time since those items shown are now all favorites.

This way you have it isnt better. It is worse. It makes favorites less useful now.

Figure it this way...

<Person at your house> What do you have to watch for Movies?

<You> *shows them Emby and the movies grid*

<Person at your house> Which movies do you like?

<You> *filters to favorite movies*

<Person at your house> So you cannot just see your favorites as you scroll through them all. The other guys have that.
