OldFatJoe 0 Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I've been using Emby for a few years with Win 7 but just went to Win 10. My ISP (Cox) provides Mcafee for free so that's what I'm using and had used on Win7. After Win 10 install I couldn't get Emby on the TV to connect to the server. I played around a bit and got nowhere. Then I remembered fighting it when I first installed on Win 7. I shutdown Mcafee firewall and voila! It connected! Can't go without a firewall though and I don't remember what I did way back when. I know port 80 needs to be open and Mcafee shows it to be. I'm obviously missing something but I'm not savvy with all these port settings. I could sure use some Mcafee SPECIFIC help in getting the TV and server talking again. Thanks for ANY help!
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted September 30, 2019 Solution Posted September 30, 2019 Have you added your Emby ports to Macafee firewall? Port rule for 8096 and 8920 "tcp" (or whatever ports you have configured) How to configure Personal Firewall to allow inbound connections on specific ports 1
