Music Video NFOs

hello,

 

ive been having problems with the music video NFO's and filling in the "artists" area. Specifically, i fill it in using multiple artists seperated by ; often this works fine, however certain artists seem to be overriding what is displayed

-Cypress Hill

----Cypress Hill - (Rock) Superstar Megamix.nfo

 

in the artists i enter

 

Cypress Hill;Dr. Dre;The Prodigy;Wyclef Jean;Nas;Ice Cube;Snoop Dogg;Lil Jon;LL Cool J;Smif N Wessun;Joell Ortiz

 

and save. it automatically gets changed to this in metadata manager

 

Ice Cube;Snoop Dogg;Dr. Dre;Nas;Cypress Hill;Lil Jon;The Prodigy;LL Cool J;Smif N Wessun;Joell Ortiz;Wyclef Jean

 

in the NFO it displays this

 

  <artist>Cypress Hill</artist>
  <artist>Dr. Dre</artist>
  <artist>The Prodigy</artist>
  <artist>Wyclef Jean</artist>
  <artist>Nas</artist>
  <artist>Ice Cube</artist>
  <artist>Snoop Dogg</artist>

  <artist>Smif N Wessun</artist>
  <artist>Joell Ortiz</artist>

 

accessing emby via webpage etc displays Ice Cube as the artist (in picture)

 

 

Reordering it so Cypress Hill is first and saving just reverts it back to the order emby changed it to. if i delete Ice Cube and put Cypress Hill first, it shows Snoop Dogg. if i then delete Snoop Dogg and put Cypress Hill first it shows Dr. Dre. To get Cypress hill to show, i have delete Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Nas AND not use them anywhere in any position in the artist area

 

The Same thing happens to David Guetta Featuring Estelle - One Love. i cannot have Estelle in it. Its does not effect every entry with mutiple artists, infact out of 30 or so with multiple artists entries uive filled in so far, only those 2 have problems (but i havnt actually filled out that many yet)

 

the most i can say is its not sorting it alphabetically, its not entering external metadata (i have it turned off for music videos),the first three are in Album Artists in the music area, however i have none of Nas's music. the NFO is not write protected and no errors show. im stumped.

Hi, in the emby database they are unordered, so yes, this is something that needs to be looked at. Thanks.
