Swynol 375 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Just noticed last night that Steam in home streaming is now available to everyone. Goes great with the steam app in MB Theatre. for people who dont know, Steam in home streaming allows you to stream any game from your main gaming rig to any laptop, htpc etc in your house. all the grunt work is done by your gaming machine and sends a video stream to your devices. so you can play modern games on ancient hardware. the receiving device captures the inputs, mouse keyboard etc and sends them back with minimal lag. http://store.steampowered.com/streaming/ 2

DeeMac 17 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 This.... is... awesome. Now, you can play all games on your big screen TV through your HTPC, without installing said game on the HTPC. This gives your HTPC increased stability and reliability because you no longer have to install, uninstall, update, debug your HTPC from many and various game installations. 1
