Add additional bit rate options

Hi.

 

can we add more bit rate options on top of the 40mbs. 40/60/70/80/100 would be great.

 

Particually as 100mbs broadband in Australia is very common. For those that play 4K the sweet spot for transcoding would be around the 70/80 mark.

Hi.  Where are you looking?

 

The app has many more bitrate options than that.  However, when you are playing a specific item and wish to just choose a different quality value for it during playback, it only shows you options up to the actual bitrate of the item you are playing.

If we could replicate the options that are found in the Emby Web (browser) version that would be awesome. Currently on Android TV it goes from 40mb/s to 100mb/s for video playback. Internet remote options.

Smashing job on adding the bitrate options in the latest release I just downloaded. 

 

Would it be possible at all to add a 70mb/s option as well. Seems to be the sweet spot for a 4k bandwith plan here in oz.

Can I ask why "Auto" isn't just taking care of this for you?

I have always found the auto option hugely downplays the bitrate to a far lower value.

 

Would be awesome if we could add a custom bitrate ourselves in the app settings.
