crusher11 1102 Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 There's a bunch of "error creating port map" things in the log. Playback just pauses about a minute in to things. Never resumes. embyserver.txt
Luke 42083 Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 Hi, was there an ffmpeg log? please attach that too. Thanks.
crusher11 1102 Posted September 28, 2019 Author Posted September 28, 2019 These should be it. ffmpeg-remux-a3a3e91a-31b5-443a-89ee-3ee8c7a5694f_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-6b769765-03da-444c-9966-69ebf8a908db_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-800b8f04-c53a-4db4-8160-7e6cbc8a49a6_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-2a507339-d616-41bd-b4ec-f019319404c1_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-440bb354-0806-4fb5-8024-52cdf99612c8_1.txt
Luke 42083 Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I would try lowering the in app quality setting. This is usually an indication that the bitrate is too high.
ebr 16187 Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 The network, the target app, the processor - any number of things. Looks like this is a 30Mb/s item. I would try setting the limit at 20 and seeing if the problem goes away.
crusher11 1102 Posted September 30, 2019 Author Posted September 30, 2019 I have zero trouble playing back similar content on my LG TV, so that rules out the network and the processor. Why would Chrome be incapable of handling it?

Why would Chrome be incapable of handling it? It doesn't rule out the processor(s) on the app side... Did you try lowering the bitrate setting?
crusher11 1102 Posted September 30, 2019 Author Posted September 30, 2019 What do you mean "processor on the app side"?
ebr 16187 Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 What do you mean "processor on the app side"? The hardware of the machine upon which you are actually playing the item (running Chrome vs. running on the TV).
crusher11 1102 Posted September 30, 2019 Author Posted September 30, 2019 I find it difficult to believe my TV has a better processor than my PC.

crusher11 1102 Posted September 30, 2019 Author Posted September 30, 2019 I did, and it seemed to work. I'm just curious as to what's going on.
ebr 16187 Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 The high bitrate is just more than something in the chain can handle. There is virtually no streaming media over a bitrate of about 20Mb/s so that is what most things are able to handle.
