Change location of .NFO files?

I have all of my movies in one big pool on M:\ and not in individual folders. Emby generates all .NFO files in the root directory. Is there a way to save them into a "Metadata" folder instead? "Specify a custom location for downloaded artwork and metadata" doesn't seem to work.

If nfo is not save with media, there is no nfo created.  It is only written to the database.
