ESO223 32 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 A couple of server releases ago myself and a friend who use MB3 started noticing similar behavior. We both utilitze the webplayer to watch media, and we do this during downtime at work. The issue comes about after watching a show (past the 5% threshold for resume), the media is put on pause, and after a period of about 5 minutes the webplayer window disappears. When you go to hit play again, no resume options appears, the window reappears briefly with your last spot on the timeline, but then jumps to the beginning of the timeline and starts playing there again. We frequently have to pause something for well over 5 minutes at a time and it's frustrating to have not only the progress lost, but the webplayer window disappear. Was this a design choice and we're just missing a setting somewhere? Or is this part of the new internal player and something different altogether? Thank you for any help! 1
Nutts 0 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I am experiencing the same issue, also the progress slider is unusable to jump to another part of the file.
ESO223 32 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Bump in hopes of getting an answer to this. If others are experiencing the same, is it a known bug?
Heckler 147 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I can also confirm this happens, can't say which version it started with... but it happened to me yet again today on the latest server release.
Abobader 3464 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Good day, I just test that and it working fine here, I can resume a title from with the web client. Are they some steps I can test with? My best
Heckler 147 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Start the video, let it play for about 10-20 mins. Then pause it and leave it until the video window disappears on it's own. Then try to play it again.

ebr 16184 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Seems odd that you don't have resume status as that should be updated every few seconds with playback progress and also have been updated when the pause request was sent. So, even if the connection is dropped, the status from where you paused it should still be there. If it isn't, something is going wrong somewhere. Does someone have a server log from when this happens?
Abobader 3464 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Good day @@Luke and @@ebr I can confirm the issue here, it resume, but not correct. 1 - I start a title, and let say I pause it after like 10 mins and wait till the player windows disappears. 2 - It will resume fine here to that last played (10 mins from the duration of the title) 3 - I resume it again, and let it play another 20 mins, and did step 1. 4 - It resume after that to the point in steps 2, as it repeated "first" paused point here. Here the server log: http://paste2.org/7tXO3ajc My best
blade005 185 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Still happening. What happens if you stop the video after you are past your Resume threshold minimum and return to the PLAY window? If you select PLAY does it give you an option to start from the beginning and a resume option? Sounds like this is more of an issue with pausing a video for an extended period of time before resuming (as opposed to stopping and resuming). I recall another thread where there might have been an issue with an extended pause causing the play state to eventually be reset to the beginning. Edited November 4, 2014 by blade005
