Flappafluppa 0 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 (edited) Hello there, I need some advice if anyone has experience on this matter I am running Emby Server and using Kodi as the UI on windows 10. Everything works fine there, but I am thinking of migrating to Emby Theater. However I have one concern that I would like clarified before I do so. In the Emby Web player, the video on a 4:3 is ever so slightly stretched enough to make peoples heads look bigger. Kodi seems to render the video correctly however with no issue. So my question is, if Emby Theater is just a glorified front end for the web player and prone to the same issues. Or if it's a stand alone media player that will render everything correctly. Sometimes I wish there was a free 1 day trial key I could try or something. Anyway, hope some of you can shed some light on this for me! Anya xxx Edited September 19, 2019 by Flappafluppa
ebr 16169 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Hi. Theater does not use the web player. It has a very capable player built in (especially if you are using the desktop version).
Luke 42077 Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 The Emby web app will have aspect ratio adjustment in the video player in the upcoming Emby Server 4.3 release. Thanks. 1
