lightsout 156 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I am seeing a remux of Toy Story 3 (2k version) "Direct stream" instead of direct play. The little "i" pop up says that the containder was incompatible with the player it was being streamed to. Not sure I have seen that before with an mkv.
Luke 42078 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Does the information box answer your question about why it is transcoding?
lightsout 156 Posted September 15, 2019 Author Posted September 15, 2019 Does the information box answer your question about why it is transcoding? Well no, it said the container wasn't compatible. But it was an mkv like my entire library. Should be compatible with the shield shouldn't it?
Guest asrequested Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 What does it say in the stats for nerds?
vdatanet 1617 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Post the transcoding log. Maybe you are playing a DTS audio track and your system doesn't support it and then the movie is remuxed.
lightsout 156 Posted September 15, 2019 Author Posted September 15, 2019 I'll test it out later. My AVR supports all the audio codecs and my shield supports all the video codecs and containers that I use. I'll try the movie later and see what it says.
