roberto188 33 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 My Quadro K2000 will hardware decode and encode Live TV, however for whatever reason it is not de-interlacing the video. The video plays back on my progressive only devices (Rokus) with the "interlaced" lines. Any idea what is going on?
roberto188 33 Posted September 12, 2019 Author Posted September 12, 2019 Here is a better question. I am going to be upgrading to a GTX 1050 Ti. Does anyone have any issue with this device using hardware decoding not deinterlacing?

roberto188 33 Posted September 12, 2019 Author Posted September 12, 2019 Sure thing I'll run a scenario tonight. Thanks.
roberto188 33 Posted September 12, 2019 Author Posted September 12, 2019 See the attached log and photo. Looks like it knows it's interlaced content and is using cuda to hardware decode, but simply doesn't deinterlace. ffmpeg-transcode-f5471dfd-0922-4dc1-9580-647a27de00b0.txt
Luke 42085 Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Hmm, that's strange considering we've got the yadif filter in there.
softworkz 5073 Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Yes. That's one (in some hundred possible combinations) where we're not doing right. In this case, the video is scaled first (by the cuvid decoder). After scaling, a deinterlace filter cannot work anymore. This is a known issue. For a quick fix, you could disable the Nvidia MPGEG-2 hardware decoder.
roberto188 33 Posted September 15, 2019 Author Posted September 15, 2019 That's a bummer. Kinda kills the whole hardware decoding feature.
softworkz 5073 Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 That's a bummer. Kinda kills the whole hardware decoding feature. With transcoding, decoding is usually the light part while encoding is the really hard part, so it's not the worst possible thing. Please bear with us, will get this fixed soon.
roberto188 33 Posted September 16, 2019 Author Posted September 16, 2019 Very true. Thanks for putting it in the queue.

softworkz 5073 Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 This has been fixed long ago. I've just seen that his log was from server version 3.5.3.0
