So the folder structure is now with the new file: Some movie (2020)/Some movie 2020 720p DTS.nfo Some movie (2020)/Some movie 2020 1080p DDplus DTS.mkv Now I can manually rename that old nfo-file to the same name as the new mkv-file before I scan the library and get the result I'm after. Is there any way the new file/entry to the library can use this old file and rename it automatically? Hi, we don't have a built-in way to do that. It would be better to adjust whatever process is downloading and deleting the old file to handle the nfo as well.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 The advantage of not having all that additional info in file name is if I replace the media the nfo is still relavent. Some movie (2020)/Some movie 2020.nfo Some movie (2020)/Some movie 2020.mkv 1

Some movie (2020)/Some movie 2020.nfo Some movie (2020)/Some movie 2020.mkv Yupp, it would. But still keeping the info in the filename is more important to me than keeping the date added. Guess it is a trade of.
Carlo 4561 Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 I agree with Happy2Play. I myself do not include all the "extra" info in the file name. My movies are named: title (year).ext So now I can replace a mp4 with an mkv, replace with an HEVC version and the NFO just works because it still matches the base name of the move which is "title (year)".
