Mullvad VPN Port Numbers

Hello!

 

I just setup my Emby server. Wanted to try this out after using Plex for a couple of months.

 

I am using Mullvad VPN and I'm trying to assign the ports correctly but I can't seem to get it working. Mullvad has the possibility to open ports with randomized port numbers, problem is that I'm not really sure where to put it. There's local and public port numbers as of what I can see, but which one's used for what?

 

I can successfully connect to Emby locally and the server pops up when using Emby Connect. But I cannot access it remotely (I get connection refused error which I assume is because it listens to the wrong port).

You need to forward the port that Emby is using. Both through your router and VPN. You can't randomize.
