Chromecast Ultra 1080p/5.1ch FLAC playback issues?

Hi,

 

I'm trying to play a 1080p film I ripped (x264 encoded) with 5.1ch FLAC audio via my Chromecast Ultra. The video is being transcoded because of the "bitrate limit exceeded." If I play the same video with 2ch audio, it's fine.

 

I feel like this is wrong - I have the Chromecast playback settings at max (4K 120mbps) and both my home server and Chromecast are connected over a gigabit connection. Is there some other bitrate limit?

I set it to "4K - 120 Mbps" and it made no difference - I didn't see any other relevant settings.
