List refreshes and loses sorting after media is altered/updated

I have my movies sorted by date added. When I go to a movie and update it (e.g., change the primary image), the entire listing refreshes and not only loses its original placement, but the sort order as well. Can this be avoided?

Hi there, can you please explain the steps you took that led to that? thanks.

Not sure how I can be any more specific.

>Pick new image

I keep getting different results, but sort options/filters make difference.  Like sort by date added/unplayed and edited "A Dog's Purpose" and a refresh jumped to "S".

So the issue becomes the resorting with "&NameStartsWithOrGreater=S"

Hi,

I'm using the web browser to edit images for various media (no filter, no alpha picker selected...just starting from selecting the landing screen). When I finish and use the Emby back arrow to return to the main library view, the alpha picker has self selected itself to the same letter for the item name i was editing, and the screen displays no media. I have to click another letter and back to get the media to reappear.

I would have expected the screen to return to where I was, not change the filtering by itself. It takes extra button presses and a bunch of scrolling to get back to where I was.

Thanks,

Erik

Merge with this one as it somewhat show the issue.  But you could verify by comparing the queries as I did above.

Yes, same sequence as OP causing the results i mentioned.

For example, from any movie, i change the poster and then the resulting sort position is from the first letter of the movie I edited. Or, sometimes i get a completely blank movie list (like an empty library) and sometimes i try to select the an alpha picker letter and it wont let me pick anything prior to the current letter.

So it seems a bit random, but let me know if I need to provide any specifics or logs as you are working on it.

thanks.
