Does Emby for Android support Replay Gain tags?

Just wondering if the Android app supports and honors the replay gains tags I've added to my Flac music files using foobar?

Hi, the audio player we're embedding supports it, but it looks like by default it might not be enabled. That means we may need to add a setting to the app for you to activate it. But I would suggest giving it a try. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

I don't think it does because when I compare the sound levels against the Foobar music player with Replay Gain enabled, Emby is quite a bit louder.

Has there been any progress on this feature addition. Also are there any plans to eventually support lyrics (preferable external lrc files)? Not sure about others, but I use Emby just as much for audio files as I do videos and the only thing imho that it's really missing with regards to music are these two features and private playlists that can't be edited by others.

Lyrics are planned for the future.

 

@ have you played with enabling replay gain with mpv?

I haven't, and it is disabled by default. There are multiple options for it.

 

Looks --replaygain=album would be the best choice, as it falls back to track if there's no value for album.
