vaise 340 Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 I would like to get an email alert when a failed login attempt is registered in the activity, but nothing else. Is this possible ?
Luke 42081 Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Check the notifications section of the server dashboard. Those are the things you get notified on. Please let us know if this helps.
vaise 340 Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 Notifications don’t mention failed logins. I want alerts for remote hack attempts.
Luke 42081 Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Right, those are the ones that are currently available. More are possible for the future.
vaise 340 Posted August 31, 2019 Author Posted August 31, 2019 Can I request this is added to the notifications ? For anyone hosting their emby systems on the public internet, having advanced alerts of failed login attempts is a must I believe. I have inbox assistants running to separate the emby emails currently into their own folders, but I would want an urgent notification of anyone trying to logon repeatedly and failing - which is easy to do in gmail. Thanks.
Luke 42081 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Yes it's possible to add this as a notification in the future. Thanks.
vaise 340 Posted December 17, 2019 Author Posted December 17, 2019 Any plan for this on the horizon ?
Luke 42081 Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 More are possible for the future. Thanks.
BAlGaInTl 288 Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 In the meantime... you might be able to do this through a third party application like fail2ban that can monitor the logs.
