Duplicated Devices in Chromecast List

Every time I delete and download a new iOS version whether it’s beta or not I keep getting duplicated devices in the chromecast list??? Can you please fix this annoying bug

Ok try not uninstalling. When you install the app generates a unique identifier and saves it.

 

When you uninstall then reinstall that gets erased and recreated, and this causes the server to think it's a whole new device.

If that’s the case then how do I update to the next beta version and the next?

 

What happens if I lose my phone and I want to sign into Emby with my account obviously it will do it twice again?

 

I shouldn’t have to come to those sort of terms, there should be a way of stopping this from happening from the development side? Surely

To get the next beta you just install from test flight on top of your existing version. No uninstall needed.

We used to get a device id from the phone, but over time with new iOS versions this has become more difficult and requires special permissions, and since users tend to complain about that sort of thing we just took it out.
