jamesplay 22 Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Hey, I'm kind of getting a weird error to do with the active devices/user sessions and just wanted to make sure that it wasn't just me that was having the problem. My set up of the mediabrowser is on a local area network with about 10 user accounts that all exclusively use the web browser on their own devices. I think one or two may be using WiFi. Some of the users are either merging together on the active devices list, or are with different names on the active devices list. Sometimes my name comes up with watching a movie on the dashboard however I have not signed into my account anywhere. This also comes up on to my index with watch status and resuming movies that I never watched. For example, this is who's currently watching: about 20 minutes later I'm pretty certain that there's something wrong with this. The name 'Jess' switched from someone else's user's name mid show and grouped up with another movie session, and 20 minutes later, the user 'Jess' switches to mike. I'm currently using the beta version 3.0.5264.17006 however this problem did persist on the stable version. Edited June 2, 2014 by jamesplay
jamesplay 22 Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 Here's another example. I confirmed the problem with the users. The users that are grouped together both use mac devices on a local network if that is of any relevance.
ebr 16184 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 My guess is that whatever we are using for a device id in the web client is not unique in Chrome on the Mac.
techywarrior 689 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Not directly related to this but I noticed that the Windows 8 App doesn't appear to be showing up in the active users list. I can't confirm but I thought it used to.
