chowbok 132 Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Hi... I've not had any problems before with playback on my Fire, but I just added a video which won't play; it says "Too many errors, giving up." It plays fine in the webapp. The name of the file is "Chihuly in Nature.mkv". I sent logs from the Fire at around 3:45 AM CDT. The Emby user logged in was "Mr. Ouch".
ebr 16178 Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 This is one I haven't seen before. It is related to the encoding of the audio track. Can you try remuxing it?
Luke 42078 Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Can you provide a copy of the file for testing?
chowbok 132 Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 This is one I haven't seen before. It is related to the encoding of the audio track. Can you try remuxing it? It actually doesn't have an audio track; could that be related? Can you provide a copy of the file for testing? Sure can. It's at https://www.unknown.nu/temp/chihuly.mkv. Let me know when you've got it so I can delete it off the server.
ebr 16178 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 It actually doesn't have an audio track; could that be related? Yes. The information the player has about the file is telling it there is an audio track but it isn't there so that explains the error. What does our media info say?
ebr 16178 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Never mind, I can see with your sample. This is going to be an interesting one to solve... Thx.
