Anyone had any issues with covers of new items not showing up?

I have not been getting the movie covers on a lot of my recenlty added moves. This has occurred since I added my hdhomerun and tv guide. Don't know how it could be related, maybe it isn't.

My library isn't scanning past 98% either. Its just stopping there. Is there a scan log that I should be able to look at?

Hi there, the scan isn't stopping at 98%. I would just be patient and allow it to finish.

I started the scan 2 days ago. It was still at 98% when I went back in the dashboard today.

In the below example, the movie on the left was added before I added the live tv, and the movie on the right was added after.

 

I'm not certain if they're related, but it just happened to start right after the addition.

Usually when you get placeholders like that it is a browser cache issue.

Its not just my pc, my tv, my xbox, roku, etc. All doing the same thing.

Also, rebooted my emby server right before making this post, and started a library scan of just my movies directory. Here is where its at now.



11 hours later, but I'm not sure if its related or not. Could just be taking a while to get through it all. Is there a log for the scan?

But at the same time do image display properly wiithout the CoverArt plugin?

I turned it off, still didn't seem to work.

Even when I try to identify the movie, the images don't load on that either. It just shows the title with a missing movie cover.

Looking at your log all of your connections for images and to Emby fail/time out, all the connections to the api for people appear to work.  So I am not sure what your network issue could be.

Nothing has changed on my network aside from the addition of the hdhomerun. Everything else is as it was prior to installing that. Its the only change made recently.

My plugins are failing to update as well.

I just removed the HD home run, and the guide, and am now seeing if anything fixes on it

Just on a lark - if IPv6 is enabled on your network card, try disabling it...

just disabled it, but it didn't seem to do anything yet.

I'm gonna reinstall emby.

The reinstall has allowed all the missing stuff to start displaying. So I'm not sure what went screwy in the emby, but its working for now.

I also took this time to remove the install I had, which was a side loaded 4.2.1, and install it from the app store itself on my terramaster since it now has 4.2.1 in the store. Wonder if that will make a difference in any way for its performance.

So, reinstalled on the day of the last post.... now today, its back to doing it again. No covers on newly added materials. Can't sync to trakt, can't update plug ins. Its like something just randomly changes with emby's ability to reach outside the network or something.

Unfortunately this is a defect in the .net core runtime. We'll be updating to .net core 3.0 this month so let's keep an eye on that. It should hopefully be resolved there. Thanks.

Is that something that controls updates from your end? or does that mean that we will be getting a newer version of emby released?

I still have not been able to update plugins, or update my trakt collection. Really hope this gets sorted out soon.
