Question about m3u Live TV

Hi.

 

A quick question about IPTV and Emby. If I add a m3u link (or something similar) to Emby, does the server stream from that link and then output it's own video stream to the Emby clients or does the server simply supply the clients with the m3u link and the clients stream the m3u directly?

 

Was thinking about getting IPTV but the company that supply it can apparently be a bit crabby if it streams to several different IP's that's not in the house so I'm wondering if this is a way to circumvent this?

Hi.  At this point in time, the stream should always be delivered through your server.
