I use Emby Music to play my cd music collection. Some of my music consists of a volumes which contain a varying number of disk. The CD tag for disk number is filled in for all the disks in a volume. When playing the volume in Emby the track titles are sorted by disk number and for every disk beyond the first a subheading is displayed showing the disk number. For example disk 2 has a subheading displayed "Disk 2" before the list of titles. This is true for all disks except for the first disk in the set. For the first disk there is no subheading. I'm reasonably sure this used to work in the past. It's not a major problem but a very slight annoyance.

I would have to see an example in order to try and help you out...  Maybe a picture of what is bothering you and some information on how you have this library structured?

There are a couple topics on this already.  But the issue is Disc 1 label no longer appears on multi disc albums.

Thanks...  Roku ignores that disk numbering all together.  Was wondering what the op was missing.

Nope can't help on this one!

Update:  It appears that the Emby Apple TV app works correctly.

I'm seeing this same behavior in the Web interface (i.e., first disc not labelled, but others are). On the Android TV app (on an nVidia Shield TV box) there are no disc numbers at all. I have just started to explore this tagging option and was going to suggest this as a new feature. Glad to see it is supposed to work. BTW, the files I'm using to test this are FLAC.

Hi, yes make sure your multi-disc audio files are embedded with disc numbers.

I'm testing this on one 2-CD set, and yes they are tagged. They are listed as CD1 and CD2 in Helium 14.  I see the second disc labelled on the web interface and on an Android tablet. On the nVidia app there are no labels for either disc for that same 2-CD set.

ATV does not show discs just a list of files

The web client has been this way for awhile now.  It used to show the label "Disc 1"  on a multi disc album, but no longer does.  It only shows from Disc 2 onward.

Ya, I sure hope @@ebr can fix this soon.  ATV is by far the worst.  It not only doesn't show any disc labels on a multi- disc album, but it renumbers all the tracks from all discs starting from 1 to whatever the number of tracks there are in the whole box set.
