What part of the Emby scanning process creates the nfo's?

Hi,

 

I have nfo's enabled to the movie directory and have been moving some movies from one folder to another, in this process as the files are renamed I have been deleting the original nfo's created by emby and after the files have moved Emby has re-created some but not all nfo's for the files new name and destination?

 

I have carried out a full library scan to try and encourage this to no avail?

When metadata is fetched. Simply deleting nfo files will not cause them to be recreated.

ok, thank you so can you please advise the best way to recreate the nfo's? I cannot see a way to refresh a libraries metadata, only individual movies.

 

it is strange though as about 70% of the renames movies get a new nfo generated automatically

Try opening the metadata editor on a movie and just clicking save. that should do it.
