If the user has "Allow media conversion" enabled on the user (Dashboard-users-user). You should see Convert on the three dot menu for the item.
Luke 42078 Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Check out our media conversion feature to help convert your hevc videos to h264 Where can i find this? https://emby.media/community/index.php?/blog/1/entry-423-emby-server-34-released/ Please note that based on the transcoding speeds in your log, your videos may take a long time to convert. See the speed here: speed=0.171x A speed of 0.17x means that it will take roughly 6 times the length of the video to convert the whole thing. So do the math on that and see if it's suitable for you. If you have only a few hevc videos it might not be a big deal. If you have a massive library of them, then you probably want to look at playing with Emby apps that can handle hevc without transcoding.

I'm not sure if I have to many options for the tv's as far as other apps. So I may just be stuck with those as the only options correct? I don't usually watch emby from my computer, mostly from the television apps or phone.
Luke 42078 Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 But not with PGS subtitles, so just be aware those will cause transcoding. Some roku models also support HEVC, so if you have one that supports it, it can direct play as well.
theGeek 4 Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 (edited) are you able to direct play them? edit: sorry, didn't catch there was a second page when I posted. You answered that. Please disregard. Edited August 14, 2019 by theGeek
