Guest Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Sometimes I got an issue with remuxed videos. I watch them on my iPad with Safari and local web app. Several times while watching the audio stops, video goes on for about one or two second and it stops. Then it continues by itself. As it happens on local network i would bet thats not an network issue. Switching transcoding folder from hdd to ssd on my server didn‘t help. After I check the timestamps in remux-log I guess this happens sometimes between two segments (ts-files, shown in the log). Any ideas?
Luke 42077 Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Hi there, can we look at an example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
Guest Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Sorry, I forgot to attach the logs. embyserver-63701337600.txt ffmpeg-remux-17b20e8b-ab5d-4719-842d-a832d20605d8_1.txt Example is from yesterday in the morning while streaming an episode to my iPad. Video timestamp was for example about 17min 50sec when this issue appeared. But the logs looking fine for me.
Luke 42077 Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 @@loeffelpan have you updated to Emby Server 4.2.1? Has that made a difference?
Luke 42077 Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Hi, if you lower the in-app quality setting to force a full transcode, does this allow it to be played?
Guest Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Never happened when forcing transcode. Does this help?
Luke 42077 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 I would suggest trying again with the next release of Emby Server as we'll have an updated ffmpeg build that may help with this. Thanks.
