When watching movies on my nvidia shield I can’t skips scenes?

Yep I am now and doesn’t matter what chapter I select it now restarts the movie?

Does the file have a length in minutes?

 

I.e has it been probed properly?

 

Do a refresh from 3 dot menu on detail page.

 

If no success need details of file such as container, codecs etc

Ah after testing different mkv movies it does work it was just Evolution that didn’t for some reason what would cause the movie to always go back to the beginning like a faulty codec or something?

I've also noticed this in some files, here is an example of a file I can't seek. I can't seek in any application Android, iOS, Web, Plex, Infuse... Same disc ripped with same software DVDfab, but in Windows instead of Mac, works fine. All files ripped with my Mac, has de same problem, so now I only rip in Windows.

 

BTW Both files are encoded in the same computer, using same settings, same processor, same graphic card. I can't seek on any of the movies encoded on the mac and instead if I use Windows with bootcamp, they work perfectly.

I encountered this problem on some mkv also. Each time, a simple mkv remux using mkvtoolnix fixed it. I did this on Windows. Did not try on Mac though.
