mholin 23 Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Hello Guys I've upgraded my emby server to i7-2600 and GTX-1050. Now emby server shows an option "h265 encode" with NVENC in transcoding menu. As I only have internet upload speed of 20 mbit, this would be a nice option to try out with my children using android mobiles or Fire TV stick V2 as clients. But I see, transcoding to such devices is always in h264 format. When I use transcoding software "Handbrake" on my machine, this is capable of 1920x1080 h265 encoding with around 90 fps. Can I expect a h265 encode in the near future, or is it a bug, that h264 is always used, even if playback device can handle h265? thanks Michael
