New emby user, with some questions and probs

Hi all @@cayars @@Happy2Play, got some questions, hope i can get some answers of the awesome EMBY project

- Got premium only how to get premier view version? *all the apps i downloaded for windows giving me the same layout as default... (html-layout)
- Missing watched/listening/resume options on MUSIC/Podcasts?
- _ARCHIVE folders is making WAR-Archive as meta (all my shows are in _archive folder) (correct folder structure)
- New TV-shows don't give meta/subs/posters because of rest of shows are in _Archive (selected the option on folder to collect shows on diff folders (and right now i only see WAR-Acrhive show )
- Is the podcast app, downloading the files to local? or is it a stream? Where are the files if it is local?
- How can i get the collections also on the overview of movie (like plex?) selecting a movie lets do the matrix, wanna see the rest of collection on that same overview. Can i change that?
- Hide empty folder option?
- My ebooks are .cbr and they not working to watch for me on html and win-app (i see the files after selecting no results...)
- How can i filter on AUDIO-langues? I don't see this option on emby? (wanna see the DUTCH langues only movies for a example)
- Subtitles are way to low on my screen, how can i change that?
- How to set trailers to 1080p or higher?
- All my Various Artist are tagged as Various Artist, why is emby making VA of it ? I can't even change the VA to Various Artist they still separate then. (plex is making Various Artist of all my albums that are tagged as Various Artist or even VA)

- Music layout, will this get a better view near future? Plex got this really good sorted, emby is far from that.

- Music artists, emby spreads more while plex is sorting and collection same artist way better. Can emby do this also?
- Import export playlist? where can i do that? Or do i need a app for that?
- Gamebrowser don't gives any results on scanning (used the guide) and how can i add extern-player? I don't have this option on user profile..

- Calculate statistics for all users gives errors to me -

There is no different view.  It's access to apps and features.

I don't believe this feature exists right now.

Archive folders are not supported currently.

As indicated above, I don't believe archive (rar or whatever) are supported.

I believe that it just streams it and is not stored locally.

This should be in your User Home Screen settings.  Make sure also that a library was created to accommodate this.

I don't think this exists.  You can set your default language.

This is app dependent.  You have to give what app you are talking about (web, android, apple, etc.) and possibly look at the settings of that app.

Do you mean the trailers plugin?  If so, there is no setting for this.

there isn't a setting for this.

You should be able to simply copy and paste them into the media folder if they weren't there before.  But obviously it depends on where the playlist originates from.

So many questions at one time.

 

All you have to do is put your Emby Premiere license key in the ADMIN section of the server.  Each and every Emby app that supports Premiere functionality will enable those functions when it's connected to your server.

 

What is this "archive" folder you are referring to?

 

Podcast stream from the source.

 

Collections can show up in a couple of places.  There is a tab in movies for collections.  You can also add Collections to your main menu as well.  You can change options in your Movie library to show collections inline as well.  For example in the web interface hit the ... next to filter up top and enable (check) Group items into collections.

 

I haven't experienced your ebook issue.  Let's come back to that one after we get you some answers.

 

You can't change the location of subtitles but in some clients you can change the size, color and brightness.  These should not be off the screen.  If they are then that's a good indication you haven't set up your device or TV properly. Chances are you have video being displayed off the screen.  You likely have a setting in the device to calibrate this or have a "sizing" setting on the TV itself.

 

You can't set the trailer resolution for online content.  If you use local trailers you are in full control of those.

 

For music TAGGING IS KEY to success. Do a search here in the forums for this and let us know if you find it or not.  If not I'll find it for you.  I'll also use that info to better update the wiki as well on proper tagging as it could use an update for this info.

 

Without good tagging Plex does an overall better job but messes up a lot as well.  If you take the time to properly tag your music media, Emby will be "rocking" and you'll never look back.

 

For Gamebrowser, you are trying to use this on a PC correct?  Lets just verify that before proceeding.

 

Regarding the calculate statistics error.  Have you verified that you can run the "Calculate statistics for all users" job on the Scheduled Tasks menu successfully?  Lets verify that.

The Autoboxset plugin can generate Collections for you if you don't want to make them manually.

All my series are in my _archive folder, my new shows are in root of TV-HD (not yet sorted), why is emby making WAR-Archive of my folder _archive? How can this be fixed?? rename _archive to _old? Or any eta on fix?

All my FLACs are tagged properly, emby is still making VA of it... if i rename on meta VA to Various they not combined or visa versa , they still separated. how can i fix this?

Gamebrowser, i setup the folders structure on server. Want to to this also for the .exe of emulator.exe (don't have this option on profile to setup extern-player?) Mayb i need to make a new topic for this on correct forums?

There is currently a feature request for this. The request is to show whether or not a movie is currently in a collection, if it is then show that as a link in the movie details, that link will then take you to the collection so that you can browse the other movies in that collection. Emby requires a minimum of a series folder for each series.  A flat mish-mash folder of episodes is currently not supported.  Probably need more information.

Don't understand what you are asking.  I you are asking why Emby is mis-identifying the folder then more than like it is do to the content within the folder as the structure is not supported.  Need specific example.

Going to need a specific example.  But Emby will only show you your ebook collection.  There currently is no reader.

As of today (30/04/2018), I will no longer update this plugin. Only fix it when there is a Nuget Package update needed. This is because I'm working on a standalone statistics server. Here you can find the main forum thread for EmbyStat. If you have any ideas, design layouts, development knownledge feel free to participate there or on the github repo
 
Thanks everyone for all the support, testing and patience that made this plugin grown. But I think to get even better and more statistics, a standalone server is the way to go.

We're using the tags embedded in your audio files.
