I have way to many issue now. More than i can handle.

Server cant resume playback, running 100% om cpu and gpu all time. Ffmpeg running 10 instances.

I want to wipe everything and start over.

But i want to keep the user logins, how do i do that if i want to remove everything else?

Please supply with answer: copy this file or that folder, and redo rest.

To keep user accounts and configuration, use the Backup plugin. That should allow you to reset everything and still keep all your settings.

Sweet. Thank you!!

Did as said, and it worked very good.

I still have to search my library again, and the user accounts was there, but not linked to an email or user account on emby connect, but luckily my browser had them saved.

Otherwise it all looks good so far, hopefully no more crazy bugs for a while. :)

Okey, found a serious bug to report.

I have reinstalled and everything is fresh.

But i have the same issue as before, 100% cpu and 100% GPU usage by FFMpeg.

I will be posting logs at the bottom of this thread.

The movie in mention causes the issues:
Interview.with.the.Vampire.The.Vampire.Chronicle

Transcoding by a GTX 1080.
Transcoding setting to "Yes", and Manually by the GPU. (Same issue)

It is transcoding. That is the way ffmpeg works is that it will go as fast as it can and use as many resources as possible.

You're also playing VC1 which is a very costly video codec to transcode, even for powerful machines. Can you try playing something that is not vc1? Thanks.

What is the best codec to use if i want to transcode? Was thinking that i could just convert it to something else?

I guess i could go with x265.

Your source files are VC1. Converting them on the fly is a very taxing process for even powerful machines. If your source files were h264 this would be much more efficient, and in many cases you might not need transcoding at all.

Have you checked out our convert media feature? You could use this to convert the files ahead of time, prior to playback:

Thanks for the tip. WIll check it out later.

Right now im converting it with "Handbrake", and your definitly right, it's very taxing on the system and takes a very long time.

But i'm gonna go ahead and try anyways. :)

Thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback.

Another question, some of my users, and myself have found some subtitles being out of sync, is there any way to sync the subtitles in the UI?

No but that is planned for the future. Thanks.
