using google drive as a library

Hello, i want to use my google drive account not as a backup, but as a library source.

I used Drive File Stream on my mini pc with windows 10, to mount google drive to that pc, so i can choose google drive as a source.

That worked just fine and i could set up emby with google drive as my library source.

But browsing through the library is just too slow, while all the folders display fast enough, the contents in those folders need very long to load.

But its not that way for every folder, some display as they should and play just fine, others dont. Those which display and play fine, were opened several times, so maybe this is the reason for that.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

We don't have native support for this, but if you can mount to Google drive to a local path, then you can add that local path to emby.

Strm files are another option.

I already have google drive mounted to my pc, the problem is the slow navigation through the library.

Do you plan on supporting this in the future?

If there's enough user demand it's possible for the future. thanks.
