So I got two new movies for my niece today, and when I want to test them I get this error:

No compatible streams are currently available.

This is the first time I get this error, so ofc, I checked on the forum here to see if someone else have had the same issue, and there is, but none of the solutions solved my problem.
I even tried updating the Emby Server to 4.2.0.40, with out any luck.

Therefore I began to test if this was only a problem on my computer, and I found out that the problem seems to be related to Google Chrome.
I came to this conclusion after testing the movies on my OnePlus 7 Pro with the Emby app. I had no problems at all with the movie, no matter if I used my Home WiFi, or Mobile Internet.

So I now knew this problem maybe be related to my Windows 10 computer, so I made the same test on a different Windows 10 computer, with the same issue.
After that I made a test on both computers with Firefox, and found out the movies works in Firefox with out any problems.

For the test I used:
Mozilla Firefox version 68.0.1
Google Chrome version 76.0.3809.87

And when it works in Firefox, it dosen't in Google Chrome. With Google Chrome is the this error message, and sometimes it just have a loading screen that goes on for ever, with out any error code.

I'm 100% sure this problem is related to Google Chrome, but I have no idea if it's a bug in Google Chrome, or if it's a problem with Emby when you use Google Chrome.
I don't have this problem with any other movies.

I was thinking if it could have something to do with 1080i, but I don't have this problems with other 1080i files, so yeah I'm not sure.

Here is the info from the two movies.
Maybe someone can figure out what the problem is.

I get that error a lot. no video file for the corresponding .nfo file in the library. for me it is caused by 2 reasons:

1. It is because I have either deleted, moved, or renamed a movie/show/video, and Emby hasn't caught up and refreshed yet.

for example: Emby likes to rename and put whacky metadata on music videos. I routinely go in and add correct artist, title,, year, etc. and mark the do not overwrite box. (but get bored after an hour or so, it's an ongoing process!)

if I go and try and immediately watch the video I get the error. it goes away once Emby library update is complete (which sometimes takes a long time for me).

2. if you use TinyMediaManager or other scraper outside of Emby for scraping metadata, it automatically puts old .nfo files into a "deletedbyTMM" folder. Every time you scrape a movie or tv show. (I find TMM is much better at scraping and automatically renames and reorganizes everything into proper seasons, etc. as well as lets you change artwork and stuff super easy).

Anything in that trash folder is picked up by Emby and shows in the library, sometimes you can tell it's a duplicate or not depending on the name but either way any extra .nfo files either in the trash or regular folders when something is renamed are picked up by Emby without a corresponding video to play.

if you try to play it, you will get that error. My fix is to delete the various trash folders within my library manually, or if you get the error, look in your library and see if you have duplicates and delete them and re-scrape.

hope that helps.

It creates a deletedbyTMM folder? That's kind of messy, no?

yes and no. it's like recycle bin if you need it but it gets auto deleted when you close out of the program (which I rarely do since i'm constantly copying dvd's--averaging 30 per weekend from yard sales and flea markets).

I get a lot of junk there because as I find a better copy of a movie or tv show, I will refresh the library and delete the old one through TMM which removes it from the database and the source file(s) as well, which is easier than trying to find which drive it is on and manually deleting all the associated art and nfo files one by one. Emby I think has an option for deleting from library but when you have duplicates it's not easy to make sure you delete the correct one.  TMM handles all that and then Emby re-sync's with no worries.

Where exactly is the folder located?

it is at the top of my movie directory, as well as various tv show directorys (librarys). always at the top ".deletedByTMM", within the folder may be various files before they were renamed. see screenshots below. not a big deal, just something for users to be mindful of if using a separate ap for library management.5d4d97a5645d8_Capture2.jpg5d4d9762c1fdb_Capture.jpg

I guess we'll have to look at ignoring those. Thanks.
