the_profiler 0 Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 I have been having trouble since the last upgrade. I have been collecting television video files for the past ten years. It started with me downloading Divx files or .avi files. and then the past five years or so, they have switched to using mkv files. My problem is that my old files are not able to be properly viewed on emby. If I use emby to watch the older files, especially the .avi files, it gets a bunch of squiggly lines in it and flashes green and a transparent white. Now if I play the files just direct on my computer or tv from my laptop or computer, it will work without emby. So using emby is my problem right now. I don't know how to manipulate videos or I could probably figure this out myself. I tried messing with the transcoding but I don't know what I am doing. Nothing seems to help. I have a very high speed of internet. So that is not the problem. Please Help. Thanks in advance for anything you can help me with.. Dan
Luke 42085 Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Hi, yes can we please look at an example? Thanks!
the_profiler 0 Posted August 8, 2019 Author Posted August 8, 2019 Sorry, I went out of town for a couple of days. I want to give you these logs and I want to give you a recording. Is examples of how to do that on this site? Because I am not familiar on how I could get this data to you. I thought the screen shots would help but apparently I was wrong. I want to do whatever I can to make it as easy as I can for you to help me. I do know how to use a computer pretty well so I can follow instructions.
Happy2Play 9785 Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 Screenshots are good but they do not show the method of playback. The server and ffmpeg logs will show the playback method. You can see the path to your logs in Dashboard-Paths box.How to Report a Problem
