Hi

It has a long time signature, but it is an update error that bug "EMBY PREMIUM" in the corner.

Is it possible to remove it?

Hi,

Yes, I have a valid key and before the upgrade was working perfectly.

The same problem happens with other users.

I have two servers, (two different computers) and both have the same problem.

They are different networks and systems.

By clicking on the option it disappears.

I thought the problem was with the browser, so I updated it and still went on.

So I tested in browsers: Mozila, Chrome, Explorer, Vivald.

All this appeared.

Did you go through the process outlined in the article I linked?

Not,

but as I told you, it was working fine and it stayed that way after the upgrade.

As stated above, the problem is present in other users.

Ready.

I did the steps above and yet the problem continues.

And, what was the last step in the instructions there? :)

Check your firewall.  Sometimes an application update will trigger your firewall to automatically add a blocking rule or disable a previously working allow rule.

I just noticed this also. But I blanked out my key, hit save then put my key back in and hit save again and the button disappeared.

Scratch that, after closing the browser and reopening it, the button is back. Any suggestion @@ebr ?

Hi,

Yes, I did all 4 steps of the link.

On both servers I run Emby, I just have the emby itself installed.

So I reviewed all the rules and confirmed that they were all active.

To be more exact, I disabled Firewall on both servers.

As said before, clicking the button disappears.

I will wait for more users with the same problem. Thank you

This, for me isn't a firewall rule. Checked the router and local firewall (just in case), nothing.

Seems I can only reproduce this on firefox, chrome and edge don't run into the same problem.

Any security add-ins in that browser?

This to me it is a cookie/website data issue.  I tested in Edge and Firefox, if your browser is set to clear this information when closed, the Get Emby Premiere button appears until you login and it disappears. Or click on it.

***tested in Chrome also.

On firefox (only firefox), I have it to clear data on exit. If I refresh the page (without logging in), it disappears.

no Vivald, Chrome and Explorer also appear.

The post photo is from another computer in another city using Chrome.

Browser should not matter.  Are these browser configured to clear/delete browser cookies/data on exit?  Are add-ons that will clear this information?

This will happen to everyone that clears their browser information. Appears to be specific to "cookies and website data".

They are not configured to clean on exit.

But I always open in private tab by this mode it does not get cache.

I do not understand this is :(

I can manually clear the History/Browser cache on any browser and make this happen.  So any browser or add-on/other software that is configured to do this will cause the button to appear.

As long as the cached information exists the button does not appear.  At least on any of my machines or test.

I think I get it now.

So every time for the first access is to appear.

In the others the access will not appear?

Well it will appear every time the browser is opened if this cached information is cleared.  It will only appear on the login screen until they click on it or just log in.  It will disappear up on login as it will see the server premiere status and cache it.

So yes this is a quirk with this caching premiere process if users are continually clearing it.

Doesn't it kinda make sense to appear if not logged in yet?  How would it know if you're Premiere if not logged in?

hi all,

as per my understanding, this button will be shown, if the browser does not have any chached content or cookies available for your emby installation.

I just tried this by opening my emby installation on another browser:
No user was logged in, I do get the "Get the Premier" button.
As soon as I click on it, it is disappearing.

I have the same thoughts as the TO:
I never noticed this behave before the update to the latest version.

Also, showing this button to users, or even to anyone when no user is logged in, seems to be a bug in my opinion.

1) Having premiere features or not isn't an option the user will have.
It is an option for the emby admin.
It should only be shown for the admin, IF he does not have a valid premiere key.

2) Having a valid premiere key, should disable the button at all.
Why does the login screen show this button, when the server does have a valid premiere key, AND the site was visited the first time with this browser?
The Server does send the site content so, it should automatically send the content that should be displayed, if you have a valid premiere subscription - and not the "get premiere" content.

are my thoughts understandable?

Regards,

Christoph
