igeoorge 26 Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 HiWhen you try to print via chromecast from your phone, here's this message: I use the latest version of googlechrome. I use the browser to switch to chromecast. I performed the test on two different devices.
igeoorge 26 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 Hi To use the cellphone to the chormecast. I follow the message instruction and hit play. After pressing play, a message appears again. This is on two different cell phone models.
igeoorge 26 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 The message says to press play, I do this and the message appears again and I can't play from phone to tv by chromecast
Luke 42078 Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 What this means is that although your phone can connect to your Chromecast, your Chromecast cannot connect to your Emby Server. Is this your Emby Server, or someone else's server? Is the connection over http or https?
igeoorge 26 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 This is my emby server. it's https. Used by browser Google Chrome latest.
Luke 42078 Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 What kind of certificate? Sounds like Chromecast is rejecting the certificate. You need to make sure to use an SSL certificate that Chromecast trusts.
igeoorge 26 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 I use a Cloudflare certificate. You know? Would you recommend another?
pir8radio 1312 Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 (edited) The public facing side is using a Cloudflare Cert, they are good certs. I have not had any clients not like them yet. I'll retest with chromecast. or @@igeoorge can click my avatar and login to my test server, try my server with his chromecast. Edited August 5, 2019 by pir8radio 1
igeoorge 26 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 So the problem is not with the certificate? Because the browser works great, I really don't see any apparent problems. Have you had this photo issue on your chromecast?

Thank you very much.

Have you had this photo issue on your chromecast? Don't know for sure yet, do you have your domain name set in the emby server settings under advanced/external domain? and secured connection mode set to "handled by reverse proxy" proper "public ports" set to 80 and 443? I don't think that should matter though.. Is your phone or browser you are casting from and chromecast on the same network? Edited August 5, 2019 by pir8radio
igeoorge 26 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 Yes, the destination server is in "external domain" In secure connection mode is: preferable, but not required. Are these settings correct?
pir8radio 1312 Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 so you are using cloudflare right? you have a domain name server.com (or whatever) that needs to be in "External domain" in the emby settings. not your server IP 1
pir8radio 1312 Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 and you should set secure connection mode to "handled by reverse proxy" 1
igeoorge 26 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 Chromecast and used mobile devices are on another network.

pir8radio 1312 Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Chromecast and used mobile devices are on another network. Should look like this: But see if it works with device and chromecast on the same network? But if you see it in the cast options it will usually be fine.
