crusher11 1101 Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 If I create a TV series where some episodes are on one drive and some episodes are on another, will that work?
Luke 42081 Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Yes, if they're in the same library and if both series folders have the same external id's in the metadata editor.
crusher11 1101 Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 What if they don't have external IDs? I'm trying to set my NBA, NFL and NBL games up as TV series, so they wouldn't have IDs on TVDB etc.
Luke 42081 Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Then it will not work and you'll need to put them in the same folder.
crusher11 1101 Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 Well that's not even the tiniest bit convenient.
arrbee99 1817 Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Dumb question, but what would happen if you just invented an external id number ?
Luke 42081 Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 That could work, although it will show a link on the detail screen that will be invalid.
crusher11 1101 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 Setting a custom ID does work, although the video files on one drive can't seem to use the image files on the other. ie I need to have the logo and backdrop files for the series on both drives. I assume this would also be the case if I had a proper TV series across drives, but it doesn't strike me as something that should happen.
